CAST
John Curtis is an NYC based performer, producer, dance teacher, choreographer and songwriter. John is a University of Tennessee Alum and has performed with choirs, bands, dance companies, and regional theatres for over 20 years. John created the Call Me Crazy Dancers as a spinoff from the Philadelphia based jazz band, Call Me Crazy. His work has since been seen at Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance in NYC, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, The Capital Fringe in Washington DC, and outdoor summer concerts in New Jersey. In 2012 John released a CD of his own original music, Day For A Dream. John enjoys writing and recording songs for Call Me Crazy shows.
Kate Griffler is a dancer, choreographer, producer and teacher living in Brooklyn. She graduated from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College and went on to become curator of the international dance festival REVERBdance from 2006-2010 then director from 2010-2017. Kate also was the co-producer and choreographer of "The Awakening of Angel DeLuna" a new musical that was produced in Boulder, Colorado and Off-Broadway at the Signature Center. Kate has performed as a freelance dancer for modern and contemporary dance companies that have performed in many New York venues and have toured to Mexico, Japan, and across the United States. As a choreographer, her work has been shown in short films, music videos, museums, and at various theaters in New York City.
Makiko Kuri is a Tap Dancer and Japan native. Favorite musical credits are "Anything Goes"(Angels), "CATS"(Jennyanydots), "42ND STREET" etc. She dances in the Sattimo Mannan Jazz Band and is currently performing at The Cotton Club as a member of "The Cotton Club Sophisticated Ladies" led by Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards.
Elanur Ozsirkinti is eight years old and a 3rd grader. She loves dancing, acting, singing and all other creative art activities such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and playing cello, violin, piano, and recorder. Since 3 years of age, she has been trained at MSTDA on Roosevelt Island. Elanur has had roles in various musicals at TADA! Theater. She also performed at Theater for the New City as a part of Bread and Puppet Theater cast. Elanur has been part of the Young People Chorus for two years, and has sung with the American Young Voices Chorus. Elanur is looking forward to her debut in Carnegie Hall this holiday season. Elanur is thrilled to be performing with Call Me Crazy Dancers.
Deniz Ozsirkinti is eight years old and a 3rd grader. Deniz loves all forms of performing art but he has showed particular interest in dancing and acting. Since three years of age, with his twin sister Elanur, he has been trained at MSTDA. Deniz has enjoyed roles in various musicals with TADA! Theater. Deniz also performed at Theater for the New City as a part of Bread and Puppet Theater cast. Deniz will be performing again this year in "Our Domestic Insurrection Circus" show with Bread and Puppet Theater. Deniz has been part of the Young People Chorus for two years, and has sung with the American Young Voices Chorus. Deniz is looking forward to her debut in Carnegie Hall this holiday season.Deniz plays clarinet, piano, violin and recorder. Deniz is thanking everyone who teaches him new sets of skills that makes him a better student and appreciate art more.
Sophia Pinzari is very excited to be performing in her second Call Me Crazy Production. Sophia is eleven years old and has been dancing since she was three. She loves to dance in many styles, but especially loves tap and contemporary jazz. Sophia is a member of the Harkness Dance Center Junior Reparatory Ensemble, as well as their Performance Team, with which she regularly does community service performances in nursing homes and community centers throughout New York City. Sophia also loves musical theatre and has performed with the Main Street Theatre and Dance Alliance children's theatre group in Little Shop of Horrors, Annie and Seussical. Sophia is so thankful to John and Kara Curtis for the opportunity to be part of Christmas Dreams!
Savannah Renée Rodriguez is a seven year old commercial, film, musical, & theatrical actress & model who is fortunate to be managed by Jackie Reid, of "L'il Angels Unlimited". She is a 2nd Grade student at PS/IS 217 who loves acting, art, dancing, singing, & making new friends. Recreationally, she enjoys being a member of her local Brownie Troop and playing the piano & violin and soccer & softball with the RI Youth Program. Savannah feels very fortunate & is most grateful to Dir. John Curtis & Kara Curtis for allowing her to once again take part in this show. Soon you may also see Savannah as the lead role "Xio Cielo" in the first 2 episodes of Dir. George LaVoo's drama series, "We Are New York" Season 2, as well as her being featured in Dir. Mida Chu & Prod. Jordan Sucher's science fiction film, "There Was A Beginning". In between projects, she enjoys commercial work; most recently representing Swiffer Sweeper, Chrysler, & Nickelodeon's Shimmer and Shine. Savannah is grateful to her Mommy & Daddy for all of their loving support, & she wishes to thank Everyone who made this musical possible, including the 'Daydreams Theatre & The Call Me Crazy Dancers', & the MST&DA. Savannah will always cherish her time spent with the "Christmas Dreams" cast, & she is hopeful to take part in future musicals with them at her beloved Roosevelt Island Theatre!

NICOLE SARMIENTO is a thirteen years old dancer, actress, singer and eighth grader born in Massachusetts. Nicole has been trained in Musical Theatre since she was five years old. She has recently moved to NYC to pursue her dreams. She plays piano, guitar, ukulele, drums and makes her theatrical professional debut as Belinda Cratchit and Little Lucy in A Christmas Carol production at The Hanover Theater for the Performing Arts in 2013. Favorite roles and productions include Wicked Witch in Shrek The Musical Jr. (The Hanover Theater) Balboa in Search of Our Father Sylvester Stallone (Central Square Theater) Dancer, Singer in Brothers of the Night (Majestic Theater) Little Angel in Nutcracker (The Hanover Theatre) Dancer, Singer in Holiday Spectacular (The Hanover Theatre). Nicole has been a part of films like Daddy's Home 2 (2017) Spin the Plate (2016), Joy (2015), Infinitely Polo Bear (2014), and several Independent productions. Briana Fogleman is an actor, singer, and dancer from Michigan, where she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Oakland University. She recently moved to NYC, where she has been actively pursuing a career in theatre. Some of her favorite past credits include roles in Into the Woods, Les Miserables, She Loves Me and an international tour of the greek classic Iphigena. She would like to thank John and Kara Curtis for giving her this opportunity to run headfirst and at full speed into such a fun production!"
